Welcome!

Welcome. So glad you stopped by to visit. I love company. Let me show you what I've been doing lately. I'm a traditional type of quilter and a little artesy every now and then, meaning I love to add on when the need arrises. Don't want to over load my brain by trying to start an idea from scratch. One of my problems is that I see something and I'm so curious I want to know "how did they do that?" Once I know it becomes a project in the corner. I JUST WANT TO KNOW. So take a peak at some of the quilting that really has sparked my interest.

Cheers,
Rett

Phill's quilt!

As you can see this quilt is still in the need of binding on the edges.  I am making this for my daughter Phyllis that was started in 2010.  I have done so many other projects after I started this one  that I am a little guilty about finishing it.  When completed I will post another picture so you can how gorgeous it really is.

Grandmothers fan in four colors!

I have been working on this for quilt most of this year.   What I did do was to make it in twelve sections (quilting and all) so handling it wouldn't be so difficult, but nah! I then assembled the blocks after quilting and it was still huge.  You see I have Fibromyalga along with a bad case of Arthritis.  There were good days and bad that I would still try to work on this project.  Today I can say I got through it.  The fabric I chose was dark red on one end of the selvage edge to light pink on the opposite side so it depended on how you made your cuts that would give you the look of four different patterns from one yard of fabric.  The background fabric is light cream on cream print to bring out the reds and pink  Can't wait to get it on my king side bed.
