Welcome!

Welcome. So glad you stopped by to visit. I love company. Let me show you what I've been doing lately. I'm a traditional type of quilter and a little artesy every now and then, meaning I love to add on when the need arrises. Don't want to over load my brain by trying to start an idea from scratch. One of my problems is that I see something and I'm so curious I want to know "how did they do that?" Once I know it becomes a project in the corner. I JUST WANT TO KNOW. So take a peak at some of the quilting that really has sparked my interest.

Cheers,
Rett

This is truly a scrappy quilt.  Nothing purchased and it all came together as if I went shopping.  I found the pattern in one of the quilt magazines.  It looked complicated, just took a little extra time.  Surprised at the outcome.

Quilt top is a block of the month design from The Son Flower Quilt shop. (Toledo, OH) My take on the color design is not to use a white background, but instead use gray on beige print fabric by Moda and a marble purple.  There were a lot of various shades of purple prints in the design that a very deep purple just put the icing on the cake.  It has really grown on me as I was not that fond of some of the blocks or color.  When I added my own touch of color and fabric I can live with it.  This one is not leaving the house.
Bought this ruler and looked at it for a couple of months.  Getting my nerve up, I finally decided to get started on something and use this new ruler.  I was so surprised at the outcome that I just kept on going.  This is a Deb Tucker Rapid Fire method using her rapid fire ruler.  Reading her direction was simple enough for me to make and I am still excited.  Turned out pretty nice, huh?
